The village had its own school, which is now a children's holiday center, as well as a blacksmith shop and a bakery. Le Campagnard, the local bar and restaurant, is housed in a building that dates back to the late 18th century. During World War Two, it served as a safe house and weapons store for the local French resistance. It continued to be a popular gathering place until the 1960s, under the ownership and management of the same local family for over a century. After undergoing changes in ownership and a period of closure, Le Campagnard has recently undergone significant refurbishment for its reopening as a Chambres d'Hotes with a Licensed Restaurant for guests to enjoy.

I am also happy to cook for you, preparing a delicious family-style meal using fresh vegetables and locally sourced meat. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, I can arrange horseback riding in the nearby forest, where you can observe wild animals during twilight or at the start of the day. Additionally, there is a private lake on the property that is home to a thriving population of wild carp, offering an exciting experience for fishing enthusiasts who practice nokill fishing. To make your stay even more special, I am currently offering free fishing for anyone who books a stay of at least 2 nights before March 15th, 2013. And don't worry about parking, as it is free and available for any type of vehicle you may have. Lastly, every Friday, you have the opportunity to join a party with our friendly neighbors, Marcus and Lisa.
