Description:

Description for B&B:

Welcome to Le Queyroix-Martin, a charming retreat nestled in the heart of the Monts de Blond in rural Haute-Vienne. Debra and Graham invite you to experience the tranquility and rejuvenation that this converted barns-turned-home has to offer.

Immerse yourself in the fresh air, the melodies of birdsong, and the opportunity to unwind and recharge. Our bed and breakfast boasts five beautifully designed double bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. These rooms have been lovingly transformed from the original apple and livestock barns that were built back in 1883.

Indulge in our delectable table d'hôtes evening meals, either in the dining room with its charming original features or outside on the terrace, overlooking the picturesque garden. Surrounded by lush forests of chestnut and oak, Le Queyroix-Martin sits on four acres of stunning grounds, including the historic apple orchard. Feel free to wander and explore, find a cozy spot to delve into a good book, or simply relax and soak up the serene atmosphere whilst enjoying the breathtaking views across the valley. Keep an eye out for the roe deer that often graze among the trees.

For those who love outdoor adventures, this area is a paradise for walkers and cyclists, with over 100 km of accessible tracks directly from our doorstep. There are also numerous quiet lanes with minimal traffic, making cycling a true pleasure. If you wish to venture further afield, there are plenty of charming towns and villages to discover, many of which hold weekly or fortnightly markets. The nearby Lac St Pardoux offers opportunities for freshwater swimming and a range of water sports.

If you're seeking a touch of culture, the vibrant city of Limoges is only a 30-minute drive away. Explore its array of museums, historic landmarks, art galleries, and world-renowned porcelain manufacturers.

Getting to us is a breeze, with regular flights from several UK airports to Limoges Bellegarde, which is just a short 20-minute drive from Le Queyroix-Martin. Other airports, such as Poitiers, Tours, Bergerac, and Bordeaux, are within a three-hour drive. Ryanair is also set to open a new route in 2014, flying to Brive, which is just an easy one-hour drive away. Alternatively, if you prefer to travel by train, Limoges is serviced by TGVs from Paris Gare Austerlitz, easily accessible from Eurostar's Gare du Nord. Even if you're not traveling by train, a visit to Limoges station (Gare Bénédictine) is well worth it for its stunning architecture.

If you are traveling by car, we are approximately an 8-hour drive from Calais, with various route options available to bypass Paris if you wish to avoid the infamous périphérique.

No matter the reason for your visit, whether it's a short break during a longer journey, an action-packed holiday, a relaxing getaway, or a search for your dream house in the area, Le Queyroix-Martin promises a warm and friendly welcome. We eagerly await the opportunity to meet you.

Stayed here for 2 nights and can honestly say that it is one of the best places we have stayed. Graham and Debra put everything into making you feel at home. The rooms are super and very comfortable and clean. The food is exceptionally good and home made. Our evening meals and the company were the icing on the cake. Thank you both!

Beautiful, new rooms and affectionate atmosphere

During our travel through France, we lived in several Bed&Breakfast accomodations and this definitly was one of the best ones. The rooms are new and you can see and feel the passion and big ambition Debra and Graham put in their rooms to make them as comfortable as possible for their guests.
For the breakfast they bake their own Brioche and you can choose between several self made confitures.
We had great conversations with the owner, who gave us also good advices about the region and local events.
We are still thinking about our trip and won't forget!
