Our chambres dhôtes, a charming French Guesthouse or Bed and Breakfast, is situated in the delightful market town of Felletin, just a short 10-minute drive from Aubusson. Located in the La Creuse department of the picturesque Limousin Region, our guesthouse is conveniently positioned between Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand, making it an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Auvergne region, including attractions like La Mont Dore and the Puy-de-Dôme.

The main house has been lovingly restored, preserving its original features and adorned with carefully selected antique furniture. While the building primarily dates back to the 18th century (as evidenced by the fireplace in chambre 1, pictured on the left, with the carved date 1761), parts of it may even have origins that reach further back in history, as it stands on the site of one of the four gates to the medieval fortified town.

We offer traditional French chambres dhôtes with a touch of luxury, providing spacious and beautifully appointed ensuite rooms at reasonable prices. Additionally, we are pleased to offer delicious vegetarian evening meals for our guests.

The cost for a one-night stay in either Chambre 1 or 2, accommodating 1 or 2 persons, is 50 Euros. Chambre 3 can be utilized as an apartment, featuring a kitchen and a large bathroom with a full-sized bath and a rain-shower. The rate for Chambre 3 is 60 Euros with the kitchen or 50 Euros without. Extra beds can be added to the rooms for an additional charge of 10 Euros per bed per night.

Breakfast is available at a rate of 6 Euros per person, while our delectable vegetarian evening meals are priced at 20 Euros per person for a three-course meal, including cheese and coffee.

Felletin serves as the gateway to the beautiful plateau de Millevaches and is surrounded by stunning countryside, forests, and lakes. La Creuse offers a plethora of activities for outdoor enthusiasts, including opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing, and photography, thanks to its year-round natural beauty. With its charming churches and architectural gems, Felletin itself offers plenty to see and explore without venturing far.

One of the unique features of Felletin is its eau de source water, which flows directly from the mountains and can be enjoyed straight from the taps, free from any chemical treatment. This pure water contributes to the exceptional flavor of Fellis beer, brewed in a local microbrewery in town.

The town holds a vibrant market every Friday, along with special events such as a Christmas market in winter and a world music and dance festival during the summer months. Other festivities and special "journées" include a book festival (journée du livre), a beer festival (fête de la bière), and the fête de Felletin.

The town square and its quaint cobbled streets offer a variety of amenities, including cafes, bars, restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops, two well-stocked supermarkets, banks, gift shops, and a tourist information office. There is also a larger supermarket located on the outskirts of town, within walking distance.

In addition to its tapestry heritage, which rivals that of its neighboring town Aubusson, Felletin is home to the renowned Pinton factory, where the world-famous tapestry depicting Christ in Coventry Cathedral was produced.
