With over a decade of experience, they have delighted guests at this extraordinary holiday estate. The historic complex, encompassing 5.5 hectares of lush parkland, offers delightful guest rooms within the main building, cozy holiday apartments in the outbuildings, and romantic gypsy caravans tucked away at the forest's edge.

As the sun sets, Saskia and Martijn extend a warm invitation to join them for an exquisite dinner at the table d'hôtes. Whether outdoors, where a magnificent long table awaits beneath a festive canopy, or indoors in the majestic Grand Salon adorned with a grand fireplace, the evening promises to be truly unforgettable. For culinary enthusiasts, avid golfers, avid hikers, passionate cyclists, and all those who appreciate the art of living, special arrangements are available to ensure a tailored experience.

Description for Gite

We offer 6 gîtes with 2-4 bedrooms, each featuring a bathroom with a washbasin, bath, and separate shower. There is also a separate toilet and an open plan kitchen equipped with a vitro-ceramic plate, extractor, combination microwave, large refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment, dishwasher, Senseo coffeemaker, kettle, blender, toaster, and all necessary cooking utensils and crockery. All rooms are fitted with electric heating for your comfort. Free Wi-Fi is available in each gîte, and there is a radio/cassette/CD player provided, although there is no TV.

Outside, the houses boast a terrace furnished with teak garden furniture, a parasol, and a barbecue for your enjoyment.

Our cottages are available for weekly rentals and include all necessary bedding and towels (1 set per person per week). Please bring your own towels for use at the swimming pool. Additionally, a starter package is provided, which includes coffee pads, tea, waste disposal bags, cleaning materials, and toilet paper.

We will handle the final clean-up so that you can enjoy your day of departure without any worries. Pets are allowed in the cottages, but please consult with us in advance and note that there may be a surcharge.

Directions

Coordinates: 01°4607.35 longitude and latitude 45°5933.10. Upon arrival, please drive up to the courtyard and park your car at the parking lot after unloading the luggage.

From Bourganeuf: Take the D941 towards Gueret/Clermont-Ferrand. After approximately 300 m outside the built-up area, take a left onto the D 940A towards Bosmoreau-les-Mines. After about 4 km on this road, you will see the entrance gate of l'Abbaye du Palais on your right.

From Guéret: Take the D 940 towards Pontarion/Bourganeuf. After the Forêt domanial de Chabrières, take a right onto the D940A towards la Chapelle Taillefert. Follow this road for approximately 18 km and cross the bridge over the Thaurion. After about 500 m on the left, you will find the entrance gate of l'Abbaye du Palais.

From Aubusson: Take the D 941 towards Limoges. In Pontarion, just before the river, turn right onto the D10 towards Bosmoreau-les-Mines. After 2.5 km, turn left onto the D 43 towards Bosmoreau-les-Mines. After 3 km, turn left onto the D 940A towards Bourganeuf. Follow this road for approximately 3 km and cross the bridge over the Thaurion. After about 500 m on the left, you will find the entrance gate of l'Abbaye du Palais.
