Globetrotter B&B is conveniently located in the heart of Catania's historical center, right next to the old fish market "A Piscaria". The B&B is only 100 meters away from Duomo Square, where you can visit the cathedral and see the famous elephant statue. Ursino Castle is situated behind the B&B, and further down the street, you will find the Greek theater, Roman amphitheater, and the renowned Via Crociferi with Bellini's Home. Via Etnea, a street filled with beautiful churches from the late baroque period (UNESCO World Heritage), starts from Duomo Square. This area is perfect for shopping during the day and enjoying nightlife all year round.
The B&B is conveniently located within reasonable distances from various transportation hubs and attractions. It is 5 km away from the airport, 1 km from the railway station, 300 meters from the port, 700 meters from the beach, 30 minutes from Etna, 40 minutes from Taormina, and 60 minutes from Siracusa.
If you are traveling by car, you can easily reach the historical center by following the map provided. We recommend arriving at the B&B after 13:30 to avoid parking difficulties caused by the closure of the fish market at that time.
From the airport, buses run every 20 minutes from 5:00 am to midnight, taking you to the city center in about 15 minutes. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at Duomo Square, and from there, it is a 5-minute walk to Via Auteri 40-Vicolo della Lanterna 14, passing through Mazzini's Square.
When arriving at the railway station, you can catch buses 431, 439, or 427, which will take you to Duomo Square in just 10 minutes. From there, follow the same directions mentioned above to reach Via Auteri 40-Vicolo della Lanterna 14, again a 5-minute walk.
