The name "Cantarana" derives from its etymology, meaning "place with water." True to its name, the area boasts the Bonoma source, which supplies water to the nearby city of Asti. Located very close to our Bed & Breakfast, this natural marvel adds to the allure of our surroundings. In 1995, we, a group of four people along with seven cats and a dog, came to reside in this farmhouse from the early 20th century. We diligently restored it, as it had once belonged to the barber Cantarana. The surrounding hills offer breathtaking vistas, and there are numerous opportunities for delightful walks, bike rides, and even horseback riding. We have special agreements with two nearby riding facilities for the convenience of our B&B guests. Reaching our B&B is a breeze, whether by car (8 km from the Torino-Piacenza motorway exit) or by train (approximately 4 km from the Villafranca-Cantarana station). For wine enthusiasts, Cantarana is an ideal location, as it is situated on the border of Piedmont's most renowned wine regions: Monferrato, Asti, Langhe, and Roero. Guido, our knowledgeable host, will happily provide recommendations of the finest wine producers in the area. During the summer months, guests can savor a delectable breakfast on the terrace adjacent to their rooms. The breakfast menu includes homemade bread, garden-fresh produce (in season!), and other delectable items sourced from nearby farms. In the winter, breakfast is served in our cozy breakfast room, where guests can also access the internet using a computer provided for their convenience.
