Directions from Cancun Airport to Villas DeRosa:
1. Upon leaving Cancun Airport, head east for one mile.
2. Look for highway #307, the only north-south highway from Cancun to Tulum. Turn right onto #307 and continue south for about 65 miles (100 kilometers) until you reach the bays of Akumal.
3. Along the way, you will pass through Puerto Morelos, a pueblo with one gas station and speed bumps known as "topes." Be cautious of these bumps as they can cause damage to your vehicle. Some of the warning signs may be faded, so remain vigilant.
4. Continuing south, you will reach Playa Del Carmen, a rapidly growing city located 20 miles south of Puerto Morelos. If you need to stop at a larger grocery store, stay in the right lane section and you will come across a Soriana Mall near the end of the city.
5. After another 12 miles, you will pass Puerto Aventuras, a golfing community with two gas stations. Pay attention to the speed bumps near the people crossing bridge.
6. The last 12 miles will take you to Akumal. The first Akumal exit you will see is "Playa Akumal," but continue for another 2 miles until you reach the exit for Aventuras Akumal. Look for a green road sign above the road indicating "Villas DeRosa Resort." Turn left at this exit and you will also see the name Aventuras Akumal in green letters on the entrance wall.
7. Keep driving south until you reach the bridge of Bahia Principe, where you will find a highway turn area. Turn around here and head back north towards Aventuras Akumal.
8. Once you have entered Aventuras Akumal, follow the dirt road for about 1/4 mile. The road will make a 90-degree turn to the left and you will see houses on your right. Villas DeRosa is located on lots 35, 36, and 37. Look for signs indicating our condos, restaurant, rooftop bar, beach bar, and office.
