Situated in a quiet conservation area, it is conveniently just a quarter mile away from the West Coast main line railway station.With a history of over 150 years, Cornerways still retains its original Victorian features, such as a beautiful tiled hallway and a cast-iron balustrade on the stairway. Each of our rooms is tastefully decorated to meet the high standards you would expect from guest accommodation. In fact, we have been awarded 4 Stars under the VisitBritain quality assurance scheme and have received a 5-Star rating from Carlisle City Council for our Scores on the Doors food safety scheme. By Road:
To reach our location, head towards Carlisle City Centre & Railway Station from junction 43 of the M6. Follow the signs for A69 Warwick Road and continue along this road. You will find us on the right-hand side, further along Warwick Road, opposite St Josephs & St Marys Church.
By Rail:
Our place is conveniently located just a five-minute walk (approximately 650 yards) from the railway station. The station is a main line station on the west coast main line operated by Virgin Trains. It is also the terminus for the Carlisle - Settle - Skipton - Leeds main line. From the station, simply cross the road onto the Crescent and follow it around to the left. Take the first right into Warwick Road, and you will find us about 400 yards along the road on the left-hand side, opposite St Josephs & St Marys Church.
By Bus:
If you are arriving at the Bus Station, turn left onto Lonsdale Street. Walk to the end of the street and cross over into Chiswick Street. Cornerways is located at the end of Chiswick Street, about 300 yards away, on the right-hand side.
