Description for Gite

Hansen for his own family, The Mansion stands today as a historically significant building, exuding the original Victorian charm with its intact Giannini and Hilgart stained glass windows, pocket doors and shutters, parquet floors, decorative fireplaces, carved wood trim, and plaster ceiling medallions.

Preserving its 19th-century allure, the mansion showcases period furnishings and artwork that reflect its rich heritage. However, we have also seamlessly incorporated modern conveniences to ensure our guests' utmost comfort, including central air conditioning, high-speed Internet, WiFi, ethernet, and a strict non-smoking policy.

Unparalleled in Chicago, this remarkable residence provides an unforgettable lodging experience.

The first level boasts a spacious living room, a dining room that can comfortably accommodate ten guests, a butler's pantry, a convenient half bath, and a newly remodeled full eat-in kitchen.
