Welcome to "Takeyama" guest house, also known as "The Bamboo Mountain." This unique establishment is a manifestation of my love for mountain landscapes and Japanese culture. My goal is to provide you with an unforgettable experience that allows you to share in these passions. Whether you seek a relaxing getaway or an adventurous sports-filled vacation, Takeyama offers a wide range of activities to suit your desires. From shopping in the picturesque ski stations of Chamonix or Megève to exploring the enchanting forests and lakes, as well as climbing and skiing at various skill levels, there is something for everyone. Nestled in the charming village of Domancy, surrounded by the majestic Mont-Blanc, the Aravis massif, and the peak of Warens, our guest house draws inspiration from traditional Japanese Ryokans. Combining modern conveniences with the subtle allure of Japanese aesthetics – such as tatami mats, sliding doors, antique furniture, and rice paper – every detail has been carefully designed to ensure your comfort and tranquility after a day of adventure in our breathtaking mountains.Reviews

Une halte japonaise bien agréable
Une pause très agréable avant de passer le tunnel du mont blanc, mais pas forcément facile à trouver au départ. Très bon accueil, on est aux petits soins pour nous. Ceux qui adorent le Japon sont servis : meubles authentiques, futons, etc. tout y est pour s'y croire. La salle de bain, plus occidentale, est superbe. Notre hôte est un spécialiste des cerisiers japonais et parle le japonais ! Le petit déjeuner est bien copieux, et y'a qu'à demander pour en avoir plus... Bref, de très bons souvenirs pour nous.

Our guest house is situated in the picturesque village of Domancy, directly facing the majestic Mont-Blanc. From our location, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the valley and the surrounding plain. Our home offers a unique perspective, with a view of three mountains: the massif of Aravis to the west, the peak of Warens to the north, and the iconic Mont-Blanc to the east. We are conveniently located 6 km from Combloux, 24 km from Chamonix, and 10 km from Megève.
If you plan on coming by train, there are a few options available. If you're traveling from Paris on the TGV high-speed train, you will need to transfer at either Lyon Part Dieu or Lyon Perrache railway station. Please note that during the winter holidays, certain TGV trains arrive at Saint Gervais les Bains railway station, which is only 7 km away from our guest house. From there, you can easily rent a car, take a taxi, or hop on a bus of your choice. The nearest railway station to us is Sallanches, which is just 3 km away. You can plan your journey using the helpful link provided by SNCF, simply enter "Sallanches" or "Domancy" as your destination.
For those traveling by car via the A40/E25 motorway towards Chamonix, take exit number 21 labeled "Le Fayet - St Gervais-Les-Bains". At the first roundabout, continue straight ahead. At the next roundabout, turn right towards Sallanches. You will see supermarkets on your right, continue straight ahead. Follow the road named "Route du Fayet", also known as A road (state highway) N205, for approximately 300 meters. At the crossroad with a high cross, turn left. Then, take the first road on your right, a small road called "route de la Viaz". Continue along this road, and at a turning, take a left. You will now be on "Chemin du Cart". Our guest house, Takeyama, is located a short distance ahead on your left.
