Description for B&B:

Welcome to Idiartekoborda, a charming farmhouse that was once an old barn dating back to the seventeenth century. The farmhouse was transformed into a cozy retreat in 1832 and underwent renovations in 2004.

Our spacious bedrooms feature exposed beams and stone walls, creating a rustic and inviting atmosphere. Each room comes with a private bathroom for your convenience.

Immerse yourself in the calmness of our surroundings and take in the magnificent view of the ever-changing colors of the Basque mountains. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama that stretches from the famous Mont Hautza to the walls of Iparla.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast prepared by Sandrine, who takes pride in using only the finest ingredients. Her husband, Jean-Paul, will gladly guide you on hiking or mountain biking routes, allowing you to discover the beauty of our surroundings.

Explore the nearby charming village of Baïgorry, known for its typical Basque architecture. Located just 50km from the coast, you'll be captivated by the contrasting landscapes of the impressive vineyards and the majestic Iparla mountains.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there are countless hiking trails suitable for all levels, as well as the forests and wildlife of Iraty Hayri. Just 10km away, you'll find St Jean Pied de Port, a popular stop on the St Jacques de Compostela pilgrimage route, and nearby colorful Basque villages such as Ainhoa, Espelette, Sare, and Itxassou.

As we are close to the Spanish border, you'll have the opportunity to experience the charm and indulge in the flavors of the local cuisine.

Sports enthusiasts will find an array of activities to enjoy, from hiking and horseback riding to rafting, kayaking, and hydrospeed in Bidarray. The Upper Gorge Soule offers exciting canyoning adventures, while air sports such as paragliding, gliding, and hot air ballooning can be experienced in Louhossoa, Itxassou, and St. John the Elder respectively.

If you're a golf enthusiast, the rustic golf course of Epherra in Souraïde is only 20 minutes away. Additionally, there are seven other golf courses along the Basque coast, all within an hour's reach, not to mention the beautiful beaches of Biarritz and St Jean de Luz.
