The house's walls were an essential part of the fortifications during the Middle Ages, featuring a loophole as one of its openings. This unique dwelling beautifully combines the best of tradition and modernity. The tradition is evident in the ocher stone walls, exposed wooden beams, and the arched window in the common room, all representing over 500 years of history. Meanwhile, the modernity is showcased through its well-equipped living space, including a kitchen area with top-notch appliances such as a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, 4 induction hotplates, and a combined grill-microwave oven. The dining room area features a stylish table and four chairs made of Altuglas, while the cozy living area offers a two-seater sofa, ottoman, nesting tables, and an adjustable flat screen TV. Additionally, the bedroom boasts a charming double four-poster bed measuring 140 x 190 cm, and the spacious bathroom comes complete with a sink, shower cabin, and toilet.

Description for Gite

Welcome to our charming appart-house JACQUOU (40 m²), situated in the heart of the enchanting medieval village of Beynac and Cazenac, which holds the prestigious title of the 7th most beautiful village in France.

This cozy accommodation boasts 2 rooms and 1 spacious bathroom, providing ample space for a comfortable stay.

The highlight of our location is the majestic castle that proudly sits atop a towering limestone cliff, standing over 150 meters tall. The castle, reminiscent of the 12th century and the era of the barons of Beynac, offers breathtaking views of the meandering Dordogne River. To access Jacquou, you will follow the charming old paved path leading to the castle.

The walls of our house were once integral parts of the medieval ramparts, and you can still see one of the openings, known as a "murderer." However, the house has been tastefully renovated in autumn 2012, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity. The tradition of over 500 years of history is evident in the walls of ocher stone, exposed wooden beams, and the pointed window of the common room.

On the other hand, modernity is introduced through various amenities, including a well-equipped KITCHEN area with a refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, induction cooking stove with 4 plates, combined oven grill-microwave, a comfortable DINING AREA with a table and 4 chairs made of Altuglas, and a cozy LIVING AREA with a two-seater sofa, pouf, nesting tables, and a flat-screen TV.

The bedroom features a comfortable double bed measuring 140 x 190 cm, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Additionally, the spacious bathroom includes a sink, a shower cabin with a spa feature, and a toilet.

Come and experience the perfect blend of history and modern comfort at our appart-house JACQUOU. It's the ideal retreat for immersing yourself in the medieval charm of Beynac and Cazenac while enjoying all the conveniences of contemporary living.
