Located in the heart of the Cévennes and Ardèche Regional Natural Park of Monts d'Ardèche, this cozy countryside cottage offers a peaceful retreat at an altitude of 640 meters above sea level. Situated in the small village of Aizac, surrounded by chestnut groves, you will enjoy a serene and tranquil environment.

From the cottage, you can admire the breathtaking views of the Volane valleys to the East and the Besorgues valleys to the West. Explore the numerous hiking trails that will lead you to the stunning volcanic landscapes of Ardèche, including the famous Cup of Volcano Aizac, which has stood for over 80,000 years, dominating the village and its inhabitants.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there are plenty of activities to enjoy such as fishing, climbing, mountain biking, canyoning, and refreshing swims. Tennis, kayaking, and of course, hiking are also popular options.

The cottage comfortably accommodates 4 people on the ground floor. It features a bedroom with a double bed and two bunk beds, as well as a living room with a sofa bed and a TV. The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and oven. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink, and toilet.

Pets are welcome with prior agreement for an additional fee of 15. Breakfast and picnic reservations can be arranged for your excursions.

Welcome to "The Volcano of Aizac," a charming rural cottage labeled "Fleurs de soleil." Immerse yourself in tranquility and nature as you stay in this cozy country cottage situated in the heart of the Cévennes and Ardèche Regional Nature Park of the Monts d'Ardèche. Located at an elevation of 640 meters above sea level in the small village of Aizac, surrounded by chestnut trees, you will have breathtaking views of the valleys of the Volane to the East and the Besorgues to the West from Aizac Pass.

Explore the area's hiking trails, which will lead you to discover the young volcanoes of Ardèche, including the impressive Cup of Volcano Aizac, which overlooks the village and offers a glimpse into its 80,000-year history. For the more adventurous, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as fishing, climbing, mountain biking, canyoning, swimming, tennis, kayaking, and hiking.

The comfortable cottage can accommodate 2 to 6 guests and is located on the ground floor. It features a bedroom with a double bed and two bunk beds, a living room with a sofa bed and a TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and more. There is also a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. Outside, you can relax on the terrace and enjoy the surrounding gardens. Pets are welcome to join you on your stay.

If you prefer not to cook, we offer breakfast service and can even prepare a picnic for your hiking adventures. The rates vary depending on the season, with high season (June 29th to August 31st) priced at €500 per week, mid-season (May, June, September, and school vacations) at €300 per week, and low season at €200 per week. Weekend rates are €200 in mid-season and €160 in low season. Additionally, we offer a 10% discount for two consecutive weeks and a 15% discount for three weeks or more.

Directions

To reach VALS LES BAINS, located 10 km north of AUBENAS, follow the route towards "The Cheylard" and "Antraigues Volane." As you reach the end of Vals les Bains, avoid taking the left turn towards D 243 (which leads to Aizac). Instead, continue on the road (D 578) that will take you through the scenic Volane valley, where you can admire the basaltic flows from the Aizac volcano. After passing through several small villages, you will reach Antraigues. Keep this picturesque village on your right and take the first left onto the road leading to AIZAC. This road will take you up a few bends until you reach the Col d'Aizac, situated at an altitude of 642 m. Here, you will find our guest houses right in front of you.
