Description for B&B:
Situated in the heart of the village, we extend a warm welcome to you at our historic house, which has been fully restored from the old town hall and school. This charming building was once nestled at the foothills of the now-destroyed Castle St Georges. The village of Saorge, often referred to as the "Tibetan" village, majestically overlooks the Roya Valley from atop a cliff. It is conveniently located on both the GR52 hiking trail and the Route du Baroque Nisso Ligure. Serving as the gateway to the Mercantour National Park and the Valley of Marvels, our village is perfectly situated between the allure of the sea and the magnificence of the mountains. Ventimiglia, the nearest coastal town, is a mere 30km (20 minutes) away, while the vibrant city of Nice is a comfortable 70km (1 hour) drive.
Each of our tastefully decorated rooms exudes a unique ambience, offering a perfect blend of comfort and authenticity. To honor the village's rich heritage, each room is named after one of the village fountains: Geija, Caquée, Soutai, Caranca, and Medge. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom featuring a stylish walk-in shower. Furthermore, our rooms are furnished with spacious beds, ranging from 160cm to 180cm, which can be easily separated to suit your preferences.
We take pride in our guest rooms, which have been awarded the prestigious "Charmance" label and have been recognized with three ears.
