Description:

Description for B&B:

Françoise and Yves have lovingly restored the old nineteenth century café in the quaint village. The café has been transformed into a delightful building, adorned with turquoise shutters, a front pergola, and a secluded garden at the rear. The garden is nestled against a picturesque hill, dotted with charming trees and a variety of flowers.

Within the café, there are four comfortable bedrooms. One of these bedrooms is uniquely situated within the confines of the antique shop itself, boasting period décor. The furniture in this room has been skillfully restored by Yves, who is a talented cabinetmaker. The management of the shop and its treasures is overseen by Françoise, who had the brilliant idea of allowing guests to sleep amidst the region's unearthed treasures.

The furniture throughout the shop has been meticulously restored, and the shop itself has been redecorated to provide a modern touch. It showcases a captivating collection of walnut chests of drawers from the time of Louis-Philippe, as well as country tables, rustic cupboards, old glasses, slip pots, chandelier pendants, and glazed pottery. The eclectic mix of items is sure to leave visitors feeling delightfully overwhelmed.

Above the carpenter's workshop, guests will find a light and airy room. The stairwell leading to this room is adorned with posters collected by the owners over the years, many of which are from the renowned Hauterives annual jazz festival. The room exudes coziness and charm, and it is equipped with a kettle, coffee, and a fridge available in the lobby.

The best BnB we've every stayed in
Review by: Teresa McCarthy , Juil 22 2023 9:23AM
Françoise and Yves have thought of everything and have added wonderful things such as homemade juice and conserves to Fresh croissants and bread each day. The apartment lacked absolutely nothing and they gave us lots of information for our stay. Wonderful facilities and garden to enjoy and right in tow. Thank you
