Description:

Description for B&B:

Located in the Regional Park of Vercors, the town of Die offers a small and nature-centric experience while providing all the services one would expect from a sub-prefecture. With numerous shops and a vibrant cultural scene, Die combines its Provencal character with a rich heritage of archaeology and religion. The surrounding landscape showcases foothills that open up to the plain of the Drôme River, providing opportunities for swimming, kayaking, and peaceful picnics on the clean and wild riverbanks. To the north, the majestic cliffs of Glandasse rise to an impressive altitude of 2000 meters, hinting at the breathtaking high plateaus of Vercors. The Tourist Office serves as a starting point for many walks and offers professionals who can guide you through mountain climbing, via ferrata, canyoning, and the discovery of vultures and flora.

One of the city's highlights is its market, held twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Here, you'll find an array of excellent local products sold by small producers, many of which are organic. From fresh fruits and vegetables to trout, turkeys, lambs from Diois, gossips and ham from Square Peak, and an assortment of cheeses, honeys, and jams, the market is a treasure trove of delicacies. Not to be missed are the homemade ravioli, a true delight.

Adding to the city's charm is the tradition of transhumant shepherds and their flocks passing through the town during the second half of June, making their way through the market before reaching the pastures of the plateau.
