Nous venons de passer un excellent week-end au château de Volhac, en Haute-Loire, deux jours doux et ensoleillés, à profiter des frondaisons du parc, à découvrir la riche et passionnante histoire de cette très ancienne maison forte, un des premiers châteaux des bords de Loire. Chambre d'hôtes très agréable avec vue sur la Loire, excellent petit déjeuner partagé avec les propriétaires des lieux, accueillants, disponibles et attentifs à la grande qualité du séjour.

Le cadre est somptueux. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et chaleureux. Deux gentils chats vous accueilleront tout en discrétion dans le parc du château. Décor authentique, grand confort, bonne literie et excellent petit déjeuner. Si vous souhaitez vivre un instant de rêve et suspendu dans le temps, nous vous recommandons cette adresse.

Directions

To get to the 'House of Volhac Strong' from Clermont-Ferrand, take the N102 road and pass through Le Puy en Velay. Continue on the N88 towards Aubenas Mende. At the first roundabout after leaving Puy, turn left towards Coubon on the D38 road. After approximately 3 km, turn left again towards Brives-Charensac (do not cross the bridge). Follow the signs for the Historic Monuments indicating the 'House of Volhac Strong'.

If you are coming from Aubenas Mende-N on the N88, upon entering Le Puy, head towards Coubon on the D38 road and follow the directions mentioned above.

If you are coming from Saint-Etienne on the N88 towards Le Puy en Velay, when you reach the industrial area of Brives-Charensac, at the roundabout, turn left towards Brives-Charensac. At the second roundabout, take the direction of Coubon on the D37 road. Continue for about 5 km, passing through the village of Latour. After approximately 1 km from entering Coubon, follow the signs indicating the Historical Monuments of the 'House of Volhac Strong'.
