Monthou sur Cher is located in the département of Loir-et-Cher and région Centre, approximately 210 miles from Dieppe or 300 miles from Calais. It is situated 30 miles east of Tours. To reach Monthou sur Cher, you can either take the toll roads via Le Mans and Aleçon to Tours, or use the A roads via Rouen, Evreux, Dreux, Chartres, Chateaudun, and Blois.

If you prefer train travel, you can take a train from Ashford (Kent) to Tours via Paris. The TGV train from Paris to Tours takes approximately 56 minutes. Alternatively, there are cheap flights available from Stansted airport to Tours-Val de Loire airport.
