This makes it an ideal choice for a stopover during your journey or for a relaxing holiday in the beautiful Loire region. From here, you will have easy access to explore the stunning chateaux, historic towns, abbeys, wine fields, and much more.
If you are traveling by car from the Channel Ports, the journey from Calais or Boulogne usually takes around 4.5 hours. Opting for a ferry crossing to one of the more southern French ports, such as Le Havre, Cherbourg, Caen, or St. Malo, can reduce your driving time upon arrival in France. However, please note that the crossing times will be longer. The drive from Paris to Chateau La Mothaye typically takes approximately 3 hours.
For those preferring to travel by train, the nearest TGV station is in Angers, which is a 30-minute drive from the chateau.
