Welcome to Simply Canvas, where you can experience the luxury of glamping or stay in one of our self-catering cottages/gites with an enclosed swimming pool, surrounded by stunning countryside views near Bergerac in Southwest France. Our booking season for 2017 has now begun.

Our 6 safari tents offer a unique glamping experience, complete with private bathrooms and comfortable boxspring beds that make camping truly enjoyable. Alternatively, choose from one of our three spacious cottages or gites, one of which is so inviting, you may never want to leave. All of our accommodations are situated on our 12.5 acre property in the heart of the countryside, providing breathtaking views and access to a large enclosed swimming pool for all guests. Located on the border of the Lot et Garonne and Dordogne departments in the Aquitaine region, we are conveniently close to Bergerac. Our region is often compared to the Tuscany of France, boasting picturesque rolling hills, sunflower fields, charming wine chateaus, meandering rivers, historic bastide villages, scenic walks, and magnificent castles.

Stone B&B Cottage:
Experience an idyllic stay at the Stone B&B Cottage in Simply Canvas. This charming cottage is built with beautiful stones from our region and adorned with lovely natural details. The cottage features a cozy living room, a small kitchen, and a double bedroom in the mezzanine with a second sitting area. Downstairs, there is an additional bedroom for two children, a large shower room, and a toilet. With a total area of approximately 800 square feet, the cottage provides ample space for families or couples. Outside, you can relax on the private terrace with sun chairs or choose to sit beneath the plum tree for some extra shade while enjoying the picturesque view of the fields.

White B&B Cottage:
Indulge in a delightful stay at the lovely White B&B Cottage in Simply Canvas. This beautifully decorated and bright cottage spans approximately 700 square feet, allowing you to bask in the afternoon sunshine that streams through the double doors. The cottage features a small living room with a small kitchen, a double bedroom in the mezzanine accessed via stairs, and another double bedroom, separate bathroom, and separate toilet downstairs. Step outside the double doors to find a cozy terrace with a couch and chairs. Additionally, we have created an extra area with sun beds around the corner behind the house. During your stay, you will also have access to our entire 12.5-acre property.

Big Holiday Home:
If you desire luxury and spaciousness, the large holiday home at Simply Canvas is the perfect choice. This self-catering house is a renovated former "chai" on our property, originally used for wine production. The spacious and bright property spans 1500 square feet and offers all the comforts you need. Upon arrival, you'll be captivated by its beauty, which exceeds the pictures on our website. The holiday home features a large open living room, kitchen with a TV and DVD player, and a delightful veranda surrounded by glass doors, serving as a dining room. Start your day by enjoying a cup of coffee and reading the newspaper in this perfect spot. The holiday home also boasts a private garden with a stone BBQ, outdoor dining table, and sun chairs. Inside, you'll find a double bedroom, a separate toilet, and a special room for children, where they can sleep in the remains of old stone wine barrels. This room comfortably accommodates 2-3 children.

Safari Tents:
Our Safari Tents offer a unique and intimate experience, with only six tents on our property. Each tent features a slightly different decoration, and one tent is situated separately for those seeking additional privacy. The remaining five tents are spread over a 1.25-acre field and offer stunning views of the surrounding fields. Every tent includes a veranda, privacy, and comfortable beds, as we sleep on them ourselves. As an added bonus, each tent has its own bathroom just a few steps away.

Please see below for the pricing details for your stay at Simply Canvas outside of July and August in 2017:

Safari Tents and White B&B Cottage (including breakfast and private bathroom):
- 2 persons: €85 per night, €500 for a week (minimum stay of 2 nights)
- 2-4 persons: €105 or €125 per night, €600 for a week (minimum stay of 2 nights)

Stone B&B Cottage (including breakfast):
- 2 persons: €90 per night, €550 for a week (minimum stay of 2 nights)
- 2-4 persons: €110 (3p) or €130 (4p) per night, €650 for a week (minimum stay of 2 nights)

Holiday Home (including breakfast):
- 2-4 persons: €150 per night, €850 for a week (minimum stay of 2 nights)

Please note that prices during July and August are as follows:

Safari Tents (including breakfast and private bathroom):
- 2-4 persons: €850 for a week (arrival on Saturdays, minimum stay of 1 week)

White B&B Cottage (including breakfast and private bathroom):
- 2-4 persons: €875 for a week (arrival on Saturdays, minimum stay of 1 week)

Stone B&B Cottage (including breakfast and bathroom):
- 2-4 persons: €925 for a week (arrival on Saturdays, minimum stay of 1 week)

Holiday Home (including breakfast and bathroom):
- 2-4 persons: €1095 for a week (arrival on Saturdays, minimum stay of 1 week)

On Google Maps, simply enter: "Briquet, Saint Jean de Duras".

From Bordeaux:
Take the bypass towards Périgueux/Libourne and enter the highway (toll) just before Libourne. Take exit 12 for Ste Foy la Grande and once in Ste Foy, take the main road towards Duras (D708). In the village of Margueron, turn left towards Miramont. After about 5km, turn left at the sign for Briquet/Bonac. Continue for about 220m until you reach a white gate (on your right) and you have arrived.

From Brive la Gaillarde:
Take the highway towards Bordeaux/Bergerac. Take exit 12 for Ste Foy la Grande and once in Ste Foy, take the main road towards Duras (D708). In the village of Margueron, turn left towards Miramont. After about 5km, turn left at the sign for Briquet/Bonac. Continue for about 200m until you reach a white gate (on your right) and you have arrived.
