Other attractions in the area include the mysterious Païolive wood, the exhibition dedicated to the famous Chauvet cave, and the splendors of Orgnac and its adjacent cavities.
The Ardeche region is full of fun activities for those looking to reconnect with nature. With its mountains, valleys, gorges, plains, lakes, rivers, woods, plateaus, and ridge lines, the Ardeche is a paradise for outdoor recreation. Activities such as caving, canoeing, hiking, tree climbing, climbing, cycling, air sports, and canyoning are available for those seeking adventure and a sporting holiday in the Ardèche. The village where the accommodation is located is 8 kilometers from Joyeuse, on the ridge road, 500 meters above sea level. The village is known for its pink sandstone villages and has a population of 121 people year-round. The village features the Valoubières Castle from the 12th century, the remains of the Abbey of Chabroulières from the 16th century, an exhibition by the Association TRACES during the summer season, and marked hiking trails.
The accommodation features a kitchen that opens onto a large living room, fully equipped with modern appliances. The living room/dining room is spacious and includes a fireplace that spreads warmth throughout the house in the winter. It is furnished with leather armchairs, floor lamps, a coffee table, and a stereo system. There are two doors that open onto a tiled terrace with stunning views of the valley.
There are four bedrooms in the accommodation, each tastefully decorated and offering comfortable sleeping options. Bedroom 1 has two upholstered beds of 90, Bedroom 2 has a double bed with a retractable part for additional sleeping options, Bedroom 3 has two bunk beds and one drawer bed, and Bedroom 4 is a rest room with a TV and VCR, a 3 seater sofa that can be used as an additional bed, and a writing desk. All bedrooms have large sliding façade closets and great views.
The spacious bathroom is fully tiled and naturally lit, with storage units and a washstand. There is a large shower with servant products and a shower screen in frosted glass. There is also an independent laundry room with a hot water cumulus, a washing machine, and an ironing board with a steam iron. The accommodation also includes a garage with a large fridge and a freezer section for storing fresh and frozen products.
Additional amenities include plush leather chairs, a solid oak kitchen, terrace furniture, a parasol, deckchairs, a barbecue, a telephone for incoming calls, and a mezzanine with a reading area and a library with a wide variety of books for adults and children. All openings are equipped with mosquito nets for comfort. The environment surrounding the accommodation includes lavender, flowering shrubs, roses, and fruit trees.
