Located just 9 kilometers from Sarlat, this peaceful haven is a must-visit destination. Situated halfway between Sarlat and Montignac-Lascaux, this charming XVIIIth century house is set within a vast 3-hectare park. The property boasts a large salt water swimming pool measuring 14x7m. Each of our 5 charming bedrooms is uniquely decorated and offers a separate entrance, private bathroom (with shower or bath), and a southern exposure that opens onto the garden.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast served either in the dining room or outside in the garden under the orchard, depending on the season. We offer a variety of homemade jams, freshly baked bread, and a selection of fruit salad or cakes. In this tranquil setting, you will only be awakened by the delightful sound of birdsong in the morning.

On select evenings, we offer the option to enjoy dinner on-site with prior reservation. Our menu features traditional local dishes such as foie gras, duck, ceps, and cabecou.

Conveniently located near the most beautiful sites of the Périgord Noir, including Sarlat, Lascaux, les Eyzies, and the Dordogne valley, our holiday rentals allow you to explore these attractions within 20 minutes. Additionally, a short drive will take you to Padirac, Rocamadour, Bergerac and Cahors vineyards, Périgueux, and Collonges la Rouge.

For nature enthusiasts, there are hiking trails at the edge of the garden ranging from 20 minutes to 5 hours in duration. Those seeking a longer adventure can even walk to the beautiful gardens of the manor of Eyrignac, which is approximately a 3-hour walk away.

Don't miss out on this peaceful haven just 9 kilometers from Sarlat! Thomas Barn is nestled within the beautiful landscaped park of "Granges Hautes" and offers a perfect retreat for your vacation. Facing south, the barn consists of two separate holiday cottages, each spanning two levels and measuring 50 square meters, ideal for 2 or 3 people.

The ground floor of each cottage features a cozy living room with its own entrance, complete with a comfortable seating and dining area, as well as a television. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern amenities such as a dishwasher, combination oven, refrigerator, ceramic stove tops, and a washing machine. There are also separate toilets on this level.

Moving upstairs, you'll find a charming bedroom with a double bed measuring 160 centimeters wide. In one of the cottages, there is an additional single bed measuring 90 centimeters wide. A bathroom completes the first floor.

Outside, within the park, you have your own private garden, accessible directly from the cottage, where you can relax on the provided garden furniture. Additionally, there is a pool available for your enjoyment. If you're feeling adventurous, the garden borders hiking trails ranging from 20 minutes to 5 hours, and for those with more stamina, a 3-hour walk will take you to the stunning gardens of the Eyrignac Manor.

Conveniently located in the heart of Périgord Noir, Thomas Barn is within a 20-minute drive of 80% of the main attractions, including Sarlat, Beynac, La Roque Gageac, Les Eyzies, Montignac et Lascaux, The Eyrignac Gardens, and the Dordogne and Vézère valleys. If you're willing to venture a bit further, Padirac, Rocamadour, the Bergerac and Cahors vineyards, Périgueux, and Collonges la Rouge are also within reach.

Périgord boasts an incredible number of sites to explore, with chapels, houses, castles, and breathtaking gardens scattered throughout the region. Un très beau séjour chez Anouk et Gilles: la qualité de leur accueil nous a profondément touchés.
Le cadre est magnifique, extérieur comme intérieur, amoureusement entretenu; une cuisine de très grande qualité et des petites attentions émouvantes, sans compter les conseils judicieux pour les visites touristiques.
Merci infiniment pour ce moment passé chez vous, notre meilleur souvenir parmi les maisons d'hôtes que nous avons fréquentées

Directions

If you are coming from Sarlat, continue towards "Brive La Gaillarde" until you reach the village of "Saint Crépin et Carlucet". When you see the signboard indicating the beginning of the village, continue straight for approximately 200 meters (ignore the second signboard on your right for "Saint Crépin"). You will then arrive at the village center, with the school on your left and the town hall on your right. The entrance to "Les Granges Hautes" is located on your right, just in front of the town hall (look for the signboard). The house is about 100 meters away.

If you are coming from the A20 motorway (take the "Brive la Gaillarde" exit if coming from the north, or the "Souillac" exit if coming from the south), follow the signs for Sarlat or Salignac. In Salignac, continue following the signs for Sarlat for about 4 kilometers. Once you reach "Saint Crépin et Carlucet", continue straight for about 100 meters before taking the left turn onto the road leading to "Les Granges Hautes" (which begins just in front of the town hall, near the school). The house is approximately 100 meters away.
