Directions

To easily reach Les Chambons by car, there are two options. If you are coming from the N89 at Thenon, turn left at the main crossroads in Thenon and head towards Sainte-Orse. It is approximately 7km away. Look out for signs to Sainte-Orse and Gabillou along the way. Once you reach Sainte-Orse, follow the signs for Gabillou. Drive through the village, down a hill, and then take a left to Gabillou. Keep following the D70 road for about 4km, making sure not to go left up the hill to Gabillou. Les Chambons is located just past the small locality of Vaudres and below the village of Gabillou. Follow the directions mentioned earlier to find your way to Les Chambons.

If you are coming from Limoges on the D704, drive until you reach the signpost for Sainte-Orse, which is about 10 minutes past Saint Agnan (by Hautefort). Follow the signs for Sainte-Orse, which will lead you to the center of the village. At the small crossroads, with the Hotel de France on your left and the Marie on your right, turn right and go down the hill. Take the left-hand turn at the bottom of the hill, signposted Gabillou. Continue on this road for 4km, ignoring the left turn to Gabillou. Look out for a pretty stone cottage called Le Chambon, which is our neighbor. Les Chambons, the big house, is located just after Le Chambon on the left-hand side. Pass by the side of the house and make a sharp right turn (slowly!) through the large iron gates into the courtyard. Please note that you may need to perform a two-point turn to accomplish this maneuver.
