Introducing "The Grape Escape", a charming gite that can comfortably accommodate 2 to 4 people. This semi-detached cottage is nestled within the enchanting courtyard of the main farmhouse, offering captivating views of the surrounding vineyards and a serene forested valley. As you enter the grand room, you'll be greeted by an abundance of natural light streaming through five large double windows, inviting the picturesque vineyards inside. This room boasts a cozy seating area adorned with plush sofas and chairs, as well as a king-size bed (or single bed depending on the number of guests), providing the perfect spot for relaxation. A second bedroom awaits, featuring two single beds that can be converted into a kingsize double bed, along with a convenient set of drawers. Completing the accommodations is a spacious bathroom spanning 10m2, equipped with a bath, stand-alone shower, WC, basin, and breathtaking views. Additionally, a walk-in cupboard/utility room adds functionality to this delightful space.

Step outside onto the shaded and paved terrace, where you'll find a well-furnished haven complete with a garden table, chairs, sun loungers, umbrella, and barbecue, perfect for enjoying the idyllic setting. The terrace leads seamlessly into a generously sized French-country kitchen and living area, adorned with modern cupboards and new appliances such as a dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, cooker, and washing machine. A cozy breakfast nook and separate dining table offer ample space for enjoying meals.

Directions

Here are revised travel directions to Chateau Haut Garrigue:

To find Chateau Haut Garrigue, located on the edge of Saussignac village, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes east of Bordeaux city, follow these steps:

1. If you are driving from Bordeaux airport, head north on the ring road in the direction of Paris Nantes.
2. After crossing the Pont d’Aquitaine bridge, take exit 1, signposted Libourne Perigueux. Keep right and then take exit 26 to Libourne.
3. After driving for 18.5 kilometers, take exit 9 to Libourne.
4. After another 6 kilometers, take the right exit for Bergerac, St Emilion, Libourne est.
5. At the top of the ramp, turn right towards Bergerac and continue on this road, which becomes the D936 (as shown on the map below).
6. Once you reach Gardonne, which is just over an hour from Bordeaux, turn right towards Saussignac (the D4) at the Renault garage.
7. Travel for 4 kilometers from Gardonne, and you will come across a crossing with a district road (the D14) as the road starts to climb.
8. Around 100 meters after crossing the district road, take the left fork, which is signposted Chat La Garrigue (us).
9. Then, take the very next road on the left, just before the cemetery. Chateau Haut Garrigue is the last property on that road.
10. If you are coming from Bergerac, take the Bordeaux road and then turn left at the Renault garage in Gardonne. Follow the directions mentioned above to reach Chateau Haut Garrigue.
