Description:

Description for Gite

In the charming city of Maisons-Laffitte, renowned for its equestrian culture, we invite you to experience a truly authentic French stay in our beautifully restored accommodation, formerly used as stables. Whether you are a tourist or a business traveler, you will delight in the rare and original ambiance we have created.

Step inside and be greeted by the elegance of a bygone era. The courtyard is adorned with gray Trianon antique furniture, inviting you to relax in comfortable chairs. Carpets are laid on a light wood floor, and the curtains and bedspread boast the iconic toile de Jouy pattern. A leather-covered desk, bronze sconces, and a crystal chandelier add a touch of sophistication. The tableware is elegant, and the bed linen is made from luxurious Egyptian cotton.

We have also ensured that modern comforts are readily available. You will find a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven, extractor hood, espresso machine, refrigerator, freezer, and a separate bedroom with a comfortable 160 bed. The living room offers two additional beds, a color cable TV, DVD player, printer, wireless internet, telephone, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, and more.

Conveniently located just 8 minutes from the train station, you can easily reach Paris in no time. The RER A line takes you to La Défense in 10 minutes and the Champs-Élysées in 15 minutes. The SNCF train will bring you to Saint Lazare station in just 20 minutes, close to famous department stores such as Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. Additionally, the RER A line provides direct access to Disneyland.

Within a 10-minute walk from the city center, you will discover The Grocery Longueil, a renowned delicatessen that is well-known throughout the region. You will also find a supermarket, a hard-discount store, numerous restaurants, and bakeries. The city's park, originally built in the seventeenth century by Mansart, is home to many beautiful residences, two of which have been converted into gourmet restaurants.

If you are a horse lover, you will be enthralled by the proximity to the racetrack, where you can admire the stables and watch thoroughbreds in training. Horseback riding, golfing, and leisurely strolls in the nearby forest of Saint Germain en Laye (just 10 minutes away) are also popular activities. Saint Germain en Laye, located 7km from our property, is a bustling city with a rich commercial center and is famous as the birthplace of Louis XIV. The city is home to the castle, built by François the First, and the Museum of National Antiquities, offering a fascinating glimpse into history. From the expansive 2400-meter long terrace, you can enjoy an exceptional view of Paris.

For those interested in exploring further, the Palace of Versailles is only 20 km away, while the Claude Monet Foundation in Giverny can be reached via the highway, located 62 km from our property.

As a third-generation family in Maisons-Laffitte, specializing in antiques for the past 35 years, we take great pride in sharing our love for our city, our region, and Paris, known as "the most beautiful city in the world!"
