This house in the main street of a charming village has undergone an impressive restoration. Originally built in 1785 as the Wine storehouses of Thénacuries and later used as the barracks of Napoleon, this residence has a rich history. Its park was once considered the most beautiful in Europe. Between the two world wars, the house was purchased by wine growers of pineau and cognac who used it to store their barrels. However, for over 90 years, no renovations had been done until a year-long intensive restoration brought back its former splendor and charm.We wanted to share this exceptional heritage with you by creating comfortable and welcoming lodgings and rooms. These spaces are of generous proportions and combine the elegance of antique furniture with the authenticity of the stone walls. We also offer accommodations for longer stays, allowing you to explore our beautiful area and all its treasures. Our stables have been restored and transformed to provide a pleasant and authentic setting, complete with a "Hurdy-gurdy France" hood overlooking the fountain where you can enjoy breakfast under the sunny skies of our region.
